White Mountain Guide Day Thirty-Eight

Today was beautiful. Yes, it rained all day. Yes, I got wet. But there is something about the way the green of the leaves seems to be elevated when they’re all wet that I can’t get over. There’s something about the way the dirt smells when it’s saturated by a constant drizzle. And there’s something to be said for spending a few hours walking through the woods alone on a busy holiday weekend.
